On April 29th Industrial Plankton attended the famous Hama Hama Oyster Rama in Lilliwaup, Washington. It was a fun filled day learning about oysters, picking oysters, and eating oysters. What's even better is that this annual event benefits local charities. We encourage everyone to mark your calendars to purchase tickets for next years event, which is sure to sell out!

More from Hama Hama Oysters

''Every year we welcome the public to our beach to learn about oysters, oyster farming, and life in the Hood Canal, aquatic and other. We call this beach ho-down the Hama Hama Oyster Rama. It's not the biggest party in the world, but it might be the biggest subtidal one!

The Rama features tours with intertidal ecologists and oyster growers, u-pick oysters and clams, an oyster-sports competition we call the Shuckathalon, a beer and wine garden, kid
's activities, live music, and various delicious food options. Every year, the Rama benefits local Hood Canal charities.''
